Montréal, QC – TAP Art Space is excited to announce Tianguis de Cerámica Vol. 2, a two-weekend ceramic showcase opening on the weekend of July 28th-30th, and continuing on August 4th-6th. An opening event will take place on Friday 28th, from 5-9 PM at our gallery space. Visits during the week can be made by appointment only.

In its second iteration, this ceramic showcase created and curated by Mexican ceramicist Vanessa Maya Gutter presents a diverse collection of works from a group of 20 local and international artists. This event amplifies a variety of techniques and approaches that celebrate the dynamic world of contemporary ceramics. In its second edition, the showcase includes works from: Ana Maria Alarzón, Mel Arsenault, Maya Barrera, Cassi Camille, Omar Chávez Santiago, Kelly Davis, Diane García Ramos, Paul Guidera, Orise Jacques Durocher, Ksenia Kil, Eunice Kim, Kimberly Orjuela, Vanessa Maya Gutter, William Mora, Claire Olwen, Cara de Planta, Rosita Relámpago, Mariana Sánchez Hoyos, Noémie Sylvestre, Carmine Tagliamonti, and Rodrigo Treviño. 

Tianguis de Cerámica encapsulates the lively ambiance of traditional open-air markets, or 'tianguis', which are a pivotal aspect of Mexico's cultural and commercial life, providing art enthusiasts with an immersive opportunity to explore the craftsmanship of ceramic arts. With a wide range of acquisition costs, this curated selection caters to all attendees, from the seasoned collector to the first-time art buyer. All pieces will be ready to take upon purchase.
