Landscape’s Sequences: Sarah Thibault

TAP is proud to present a solo exhibition by artist Sarah Thibault. This exhibition was selected as part of our recent call for submissions.

Sarah Thibault’s work confronts notions of patriarchy and the bourgeoisie rooted in the collective unconscious through over-exposing and mocking visual elements related to privilege and power.

In LANDSCAPE’S SEQUENCES, Sarah offers the viewer with an immersive environment that combines bourgeoise interior design elements with textures and colors found typically in exterior environments, for instance on a grass yard. Through the transformation of the exhibition space, ideas such as cleanliness, security and ownership are questioned through the viewer's perspective.

Given the opportunities that the architecture at TAP offers, the notion of being outside/inside/outside gets amalgamated and the chances of introspection are heightened.
